AVA, an arts & crafts retail chain from Belgium, wished to launch a ‘store of the future’. Our solution calls for a seamless integration of omni-channel elements including drive-thru, mobile app store and automated in-store purchasing. However, the highlight of the customer journey is seeing one’s shopping bag being filled by robots behind a translucent tubular wall and conveyed via cable. To add a human touch, each customer’s name is handwritten on the bag. (Proposed as part of Retail Consortium.)
